Trefoil Cross: Patti's Baked Brown Sugar Blog Hop Submission

This post could also have been titled:  Best laid plans of mice and mailmen.

Another of our Wacky Watercooler participants Patti Leeke who is short on a blog (blogless) but long on talent is being featured today.  For our New Catalog(ue) hop she popped this lovely confection in the mail to your's truly for inclusion in the hop....that's where the mailmen and the mice for all I know come in.   The hop was close to a month ago but the card just arrived 5 days ago!    Patti mailed it in plenty of time but...as I say...mice and mailmen intervened.  Don't you wish mail had minicams on it so you could find out the "rest of the story"?

Patti's Trefoil Cross in Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla

Lovely isn't it? A perfect blend of image and sentiment for a difficult type of card to have to craft and send.   In person it's a rich and luscious mix of Very Vanilla and our newest In Color - Baked Brown Sugar.  Given the names you just expect those two to mix well together don't you?  :D   One of my favorite things about the Trefoil Cross image is that it is a single stamp!  Lots of presence with very little cost.  And as you can see, by Patti's inclusion of the new Beautifully Barogque embossing folder in the background, it also coordinates very well with our Mosaic & Baroque design collections.

Supplies:

Stamps: Trefoil Cross (pg. 122 of the Annual Catalog(ue)), Love and Sympathy (pg. 68), Background Borders (pg. 119) on the interior

Paper: Very Vanilla & Baked Brown Sugar cardstock

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar

Other: Decorative Label Punch, Big Shot, Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, Baked Brown Sugar 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim (our newest In Color ribbon style), Paper Snips, adhesives & dimensionals.

*****

Thanks Patti for showcasing these new images and products so beautifully.

Patti and the rest of the Wacky Watercooler stamping gang will be back September 12th with a look at Stampin' Up's new Holiday Catalog(ue) and other Holiday Offerings.

In the mean time...keep your eyes peeled for the occasional post from the watercooler.

Happy Stamping!

Gorgeous card, Patti! I'm sure the mailman was enjoying it himself :) Thanks for sharing it with us, Jean - and not being like a mailman and keeping it to yourself! :)

That embossing folder is gorgeous. I'm so glad they added it this year (although for a short time, before I saw this new one, I was wondering why we would be retiring my old stand-by, the Vintage Wallpaper). Keeping the colours simple with Very Vanilla and Baked Brown Sugar (makes me hungry) certainly helps with the elegance of the card. Thanks so much for sharing, Patti and Jean. And another thanks to the mail-person for finally letting it get to its destination.
